I'm so excited! I almost have my next novel, "The Treasure of Netherstrand", ready for publication! This has been such a thrilling journey fraught with its own challenges, near disappointments, and final victories. I'm so glad that I've almost reached the adventure's end for this book!
Each time I reach the phase of my novel's creation when I have to format the manuscript for publication, It's like I'm trying to land a plane during a turbulent storm, haha! I've climbed to the right altitude, gotten close to my destination, but finally touching down on firm land and getting the book published is such a brain-boggling process. I really had to think hard to remember all the nitty-gritty details involved in formatting on this one. It's only been a year since I published "Shadow's Secret" but that was long enough to make the whole formatting process just a little rusty in my memory. But, I pushed through and prayed through it, and I have hopes that I'm just about there! I ordered my proof copy on the 30th, and I'm expecting it to arrive on the 6th! I'm almost giddy from excitement!
Now for a look at future plans: I have three new novels which are undergoing editing right now. It will take some time to get them ready and published, but they are in the works. "The Gentleman's Treasure" is the sequel to "The Treasure of Netherstrand." Then there is "The Magician's Sons" a stand-alone prequel to "The Treasure of Netherstrand" and its sequel. And lastly, there is "The Orphan's Letter" which is a stand-alone novel set in Victorian England. I'm also very hopeful that I might have a new book idea up my sleeve. I'm dreaming it up, jotting down notes, and playing around with the first chapters right now!
Anyway, I'll give an update as soon as I see whether the proof copy of The Treasure of Netherstrand turns out as I expect it to. See you then!
